I have a confession to make...I am a paper hoarder! I know, I know, I could be something worse (I don't even think they would create a reality show about my hoarding), but the problem is that I am hosting Thanksgiving at my house and I have all these piles and collections of paper....everywhere!! I can't have this all lying around the house when company is here, and I don't want to rely on my normal method of throwing it quickly into a Wal-Mart bag and hiding it in my closet---my closets are full of Christmas presents I'm hiding (and other bags of paper that I was hiding from our last party), I can't fit anything else!
So, this week I'm determined to wrestle the paper problem and I'm hoping I will win this one!! Here is what I'm up against...
I can't believe I'm showing you this, but, hey...if it makes just one person feel better about themselves, then it was totally worth it!
This actually has been scaled down from what it was earlier in the week (a frontal view...you know, to make it exciting!)
A profile (do all of those papers make my fridge look fat?) I know...I'm a hoarder and a nerd!
The bulletin board that is beside the fridge (the body breeze always knocks at least two of the papers down when you walk by.)
The dreaded "to do" basket on the kitchen counter that is never "to-done."
The papers that I take off of the fridge, bulletin board, and basket so the upstairs isn't so cluttered...
And my desk that I can't quite close the door all the way because of all the stuff that is piled up on it...if you look left...yeah, that is a fake apple you see right there...I don't even know why it's in there (good news is I found my tape!)
I will gladly take any suggestions on how to organize this better!!!!
So, on to a happier and much more fun note...I spent time with my Little "N" making a disguise for a Thanksgiving Turkey (so he won't be eaten.) We decided to use the Halloween spider webs and turn him into Frosty the Snowman!
Lots of fun, very messy (hope his disguise works!)
While the kitchen table was still a disaster, I also worked on this thrift store twig wreath. I wrapped it in some leftover moss I had from a previous project and hung it on the front of my hutch. I am using Velcro for the ribbon so that I can change the ribbon, according to season's/holidays, easily.
It fits there nicely...I just wish it didn't smell :( It smells like...yup... moss.
After I tackle the paper project, I'm going to start on this desk that I got from a Restore.
The only thing wrong with it is it is missing knobs...
It's dirty...
And...I'm not feeling the whole cow print thing going on in the drawers...
Although, for some reason, seeing this cow print has made me think of Chic Fillet and now I'm hungry! It's kind of scary how my thought process works :)
So there you have it...these are some of the things that I have or will be working on this week!
Ha you should make a game to see who can get the most papers off the bulletin when they run by. Loser has to help sort :)
