My First Time

Hello all! This is my very first posting and I'm a little nervous! I just started reading blogs a few months ago and I have to tell you...I'm hooked! I have read about some amazing women and I think I have subscribed to at least 50 already ( I love any blog that is humorous and has anything to do with refinishing furniture, decorating, and making crafts.) I am hoping to meet some new friends and get some awesome decorating/furniture ideas along the way! My first post will unfortunately be a little short today...I had to run my son to his High School because he missed the bus again...ugh! For a few seconds there I thought he was going to make it, but no,  the bus driver only made a rolling stop as he was running down the drive and they kept on going. My four year old, we'll just call her little "N", is hanging on my arm and asking me, with a look of pure hope, if it is too early to have junk? You see, we had a party this past weekend for my daughter (who is almost 21, recently married, moved to Chicago, and had my first granddaughter) and her new little family. My kids and my husband love when we have parties because the house is full of "junk" that we normally wouldn't have. Dips (my particular downfall...as I'm eating chicken buffalo dip for breakfast), chips, candy, baked goods, and soda!!  Could cupcakes be considered a doughnut I wonder? Anyway, I'm telling her that she can have an apple and that if she eats that, she may have one piece of candy at lunch time (then, while everyone is busy this evening, it's all going to mysteriously disappear---and no, not because I ate it all---probably.) Now I have to get me and little "N" ready so we can take my poor pup (he's not really a pup...I think he is equivalent to a man in his 70's) to the vet. Wish me luck that he doesn't pee in the back of the car and that everything checks out okay!

  2. Welcome to the blogging world! I hope that your party goes well!

By the way, ficus trees like to stay in one place and not move. Each time you move them they will drop leaves until they adjust. Good luck :)

  3. Hi Tracey! Welcome to blogland! :-) I can relate to that nervous first-post feeling but, trust me, time flies and before long you'll be feeling like you've been doing it forever. And, yes, cupcakes can definitely be a doughnut.

  5. Hi Tracey, I was told by a professional paint that the paint thinner help clean the wood and get off any bits of varnish left of the piece.
Seems to work good for me.
