FALL IN OUR HOME
I was planning on posting this yesterday, but some little stinker (who we won't mention...little "N"), found a way to shove a tiny piece of pretzel into the itsy bitsy space that connects my camera cord to the computer. Thankfully, I was able to use a toothpick to get it out and before it is too late to show Halloween decorations...here is a small collage of fall in our home!
The spiders are from Pottery Barn and I had a really hard time not putting them everywhere (this is the ONLY time you will ever see me happy to see a spider!!) The picture with the three little bottles and the candle (with a spider hanging off of it of course), are in my bathroom, and I printed the vintage pharmacy labels from the Graphic's Fairy blog site! Before you say anything, yes, I do have a Christmas tree in my kitchen...but it is not a "Christmas Tree" right now, it is a "Fall tree" so that makes it alright----right?
A PICTURE TURNED SERVING TRAY
I went to the thrift store the other day and picked up some things to make for my booth. They had a set of old bird pictures that were in pretty good shape. I decided to make them serving trays because the frame was wide enough to attach the oil rubbed bronze drawer handles to it. I put a wine decanter and the two glasses I already had on top of it. Before I took it to the booth, I did try carrying it with all the stuff on top...to test its durability...just in case...ack...can you picture what could possibly happen...I can, and in slow motion too! I might save the other one for me (If I can find a place to hide it.)
(sorry the lighting and picture quality isn't the greatest)
These trays are floating all around Blog Land and I love them! It is a great way to give something old a new purpose!!

Okay- I'm loving the picture turned serving tray!
ReplyDeleteBut I do not forgive you for the "fall tree". ;)
Hi, Tracey! I love the picture turned serving tray! :) Your blog does show up on my list, but I do need you to add a link back to me within your post. Since you said you are new to this, I'll tell you how to do it. Hope it makes sense. :)
ReplyDeleteYou can add a link by editing your post. You can either copy and paste the code for the party button from my blog's post and paste it into the html at the bottom of YOUR post and then hit "Publish" again to update it. The button would show up within your post.
Or, you can open the post to edit it and add a sentence to the end of the post like "Linking to Weekend Bloggy Reading at Serenity Now." You'll want to include my link within that. You can do that by copying the link to my blog, clicking on the "Link" icon in the post editing section of your specific post, typing "Serenity Now" or "Weekend Bloggy Reading" into the spot that says "Text to Display" and then pasting my site's url into the spot that says "Web Address." Then hit "Okay" and the link will appear in your post. You'll only see the words "Serenity Now" or "Weekend Bloggy Reading" and when someone clicks on those words, they'll be directed to my party.
I hope that makes sense. I ask people to link back b/c my blog is small and I rely on those link-backs to get the word out about my party. That way, your readers can find the party and it's a nice courtesy to the person who is hosting your links.
Sorry for the novel!! :)
I'm a huge fan of decorating for fall, too! The next few months are my favorite decorating months of the year.
ReplyDeleteI have a picture that I absolutely LOVE, but don't have hanging anywhere...I think I might have to try making one of these trays!
Thank You---it was so easy and it looks nice displayed on a table :)
ReplyDeleteLove your serving tray, and had to chuckle a bit at the thoughts of the pretzel (sorry).
